How to Obtain a Concealed Carry License:

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
An application for a concealed carry license may be obtained at the Sheriff’s Office or online at: http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/Enforcement/Concealed-Carry.
Bring the following with you when you apply:

• Completed application
• A current photo of yourself (must have been taken within the last 30 days)
• Current state identification or driver’s license
• A certificate of completion of a firearms safety course (This course must meet the requirements set forth by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.  Information regarding commission-certified instructors is available at the Sheriff’s Office or online.)

Cost for an original license is $67.00.  This includes local and state background checks.  Cost for a renewal license is $50.00.
If the applicant has not lived in Ohio for the past five years, the cost is $91.00 as local, state, and federal background checks are required.
Once all background checks have been obtained and cleared, the applicant will be issued his or her license.  The applicant must come into the Sheriff’s Office so that a photo may be taken for the license I.D.
