Jack E. Taylor Jr.'s Biography: Jack E. Taylor Jr. was born to the parents of Jack and Arlene Taylor in Nelsonville, Ohio on August 6, 1954. Jack graduated from Athens High School, The Plains, Ohio on June 5, 1972. In September of that same year Jack enlisted into the United States Navy. After his term with the Navy had ended Jack came back home and attended Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio and obtained an associated degree in the field of Police Science. In November 1978 Jack became a member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office of where he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in that Office. He handled various positions in that agency to include road patrol, investigations, and supervisory positions. In 1983 Jack went back into military service keeping his law enforcement certifications during this period of time and did retire from the Army earning various educational certifications in the military and law enforcement field. After retiring Jack came home again and joined the Athens County Sheriff’s Office where he has worked in the areas of road patrol, Shift Officer In Charge, Narcotics, Evidence Room Maintenance, and Criminal Investigations. Jack’s current assignment is Senior Detective at the Athens County Sheriff’s Office. On September 9, 1974 Jack married Patricia Sharpe of whom they had three children together who are Jack, Marenda, and Joseph. Patricia passed away August 18, 2001. Jack married Wilma Brookover from Vienna, West Virginia on September 11, 2007. Together Jack and Wilma have five children and five grandchildren. They make their home in Albany, Ohio. |
