The Athens County Sheriffs Office training unit is committed to providing relevant, recent, realistic training to not only Athens County Sheriffs employees but law enforcement officers throughout southeastern Ohio.
The training, research and development unit within the Athens County Sheriffs Office is managed by Deputy Brice Fick with the purpose of creating new programs, equipment options, training and resources for the Sheriffs Office. The training unit provides a monthly regional training topic open to law enforcement officers at no charge. Recent topics have included legal update, victim’s right, evidence collection, gang awareness, etc. The training unit also presents one monthly internal training program for Athens County Deputies covering a wide range of law enforcement topics.
