Concealed Carry

Concealed Carry applications are processed Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to begin the application process online before visiting the Sheriff’s Office.

To begin your application online, please visit:
https://athensoh.permitium.com/ccw/start

All applicants are required to complete the online application, including those who choose to walk in. A computer is available in our lobby for this purpose. Applicants who have difficulty completing the online application or who need assistance due to a disability may receive assistance from our staff.

You must complete all applicable training requirements before applying for your permit. Submission of an online application does not constitute approval. In-person fingerprinting is required before a permit can be approved.
