Helping End Addiction, Responding Together
Dear Athens County Community,
It has been a career long passion of mine working with the community on making Athens County a safer, more enjoyable place to work, live and play; in efforts to continue my passion, I am pleased to announce the H.E.A.R.T (Helping End Addiction, Responding Together) of Athens County. This program was created to save the lives of our loved ones who are currently struggling with addiction and prevent overdose within our community.
Addiction and overdose affect more than one person, it impacts the hearts of families, friends and the entire community. We know that recovery, compassion and second chances can transform lives. Through partnership, understanding, and support, we can make sure that those fighting addiction have access to the resources, treatment, and support they need to begin a new chapter. Our deputies, advocates, and community partners work hand in hand to connect individuals with treatment options, family support, and follow up care.
If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction or post overdose, you are not alone and the H.E.A.R.T of Athens County is here to help. Recovery is real and it starts with a single step and a community that cares.
We are here to help you on this journey with a mission to serve with compassion, protect with a purpose. Please call 740-566-4305, email helpnow@athenssheriff.com, visit our website www.athenssheriff.com or walk into the Sheriff's Office to receive help for yourself or a loved one. If someone is overdosing, please call 911.
of Athens County because every beating heart is worth saving.
